Police are concerned for the welfare of a teenager who has gone missing after telling his family he was stressed over college exams.

Bayo Adetunji, aged 19, was last seen at 9pm on Tuesday. He left his home in Pipewell Road, Carshalton, and went to a friend's house in Wandsworth.

He left there at 8pm and went to Balham to look for a place to stay. He was last seen leaving that area at about 9pm.

Police believe he may have headed towards Sutton where his family lives. Officers do not know if he has access to money and his mobile phone is switched off.

Mr Adetunji, who has been studying at South Thames College in Merton, is black, 5ft 7in and of athletic build.

He was last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket, baggy grey tracksuit bottoms and electric blue trainers. He was carrying a holdall.

If you see him, call 999. If you have any information you can call police on 101 quoting the reference number 14MIS006514 or the charity Missing People on 116 000.
