Carshalton and Wallington MP Tom Brake has praised the work of British Heart Foundation volunteers during a visit to two of the charity's stores in Wallington.

Mr Brake stopped by the high street shop and the furniture and electrical store, both in Woodcote Road, having visited the British Heart Foundation (BHF) pop-up store in Parliament last month.

He said: “It was important to me to see how the BHF is supported closer to home.

“I was delighted to see the great level of support that Wallington gives to the BHF shops.

"With such hard-working staff, committed volunteers and generous residents, the BHF is able to continue its life-saving research."

Mr Brake donated his own bag of goods to the stores.
