A century ago in March 1914 Charlie Chaplin made his film debut, suffragettes were still campaigning to get women the vote - and Sutton woman Jessie Keys was Born.

Mrs Keys celebrated her birthday surrounded by friends and family at the Fir Tree nursing home in Banstead over the weekend.

The birthday girl, who lived most of her life in the Sutton area, proudly clutched her card from the Queen as generations of her family gathered around her.
