Anyone wanting more information on how to cope with sight loss or help someone else cope with it will be able to visit a roadshow next week.

The charity Action for Blind People's mobile information centre will be visiting Sutton town centre next Wednesday.

Trained staff will be on hand to offer advice and explain some of the gadgets available to help people suffering from sight loss, including talking microwaves and vibrating note detectors.

Spokeswoman Sally Riley said: "Everybody is welcome to come along to visit us on the mobile. Whether you are visually impaired or know somebody who may be having problems with their sight, please pay us a visit and pick up information or ask us questions.

"Visitors can try out a wide range of daily living aids or the latest computer and magnification technology."

The team will be outside Wilkinson's in Sutton High Street from 10am to 4pm on Wednesday, March 26.
