Samir Dwesar's letter (March 12) was interesting. I would have thought that Labour would have been in favour of a £25 council tax rebate. After all, they are always banging on about that "cost of living crisis". When Labour ran Croydon Council I complained about a 27.3% council tax increase one year and was urged to claim council tax rebate. Before that we got an even bigger 36% increase from the party of big council tax increases.
Those of us who pay full council tax just cannot afford another Labour council
