A nine-year-old girl came up with the idea of doing a sponsored walk in memory of her aunt who died from cancer.
Charley Angel Browne, from Christ Church Mount, Epsom, walked across Richmond Park on March 1 and raised £1,126 for Princess Alice Hospice.
Charley, who attends Meadow Primary School, in Stoneleigh, did the walk in memory of her aunt Lisa Borg, 48, who lost her battle with ovarian cancer on December 16 last year.
During her final week, Lisa was looked after with great care at the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher.
Charley’s mother Michelle Browne said: "My daughter Charley Angel wanted to do something for her special auntie to show her how much she loves and misses her, so we came up with a sponsor walk in Richmond Park.
"My daughter and I started the walk from Kingston Gate and walked to the Richmond Gate."
