Health bodies which were part of the scrapped Better Services Better Value review have come up with a new strategy for the next five years.

Under the plans for south west London discussed at yesterday’s Croydon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) board meeting, six CCGs across the region will be working together to bring about changes to health services.

The six CCGs of Croydon, Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth, have formed a programme called SWL Collaborative Commissioning.

Under this scheme, several groups are due to be set up including a strategic commissioning board, a commissioning executive and a clinical advisory group.

The five year strategy is set to be agreed by all CCG governing bodies by June and then sent to the National Health Service Executive by June 20.
