A fire that broke out on a bus travelling through Sutton in the early hours of this morning is believed to have been started deliberately.
Firefighters were called to Benhill Avenue at 5.30am, to reports of a double decker bus on fire.
The back row of seats on the upper deck of the bus had been deliberately set alight, a spokesman from Sutton fire station said.
The 154 bus, believed to be travelling towards Morden, was left 50 per cent damaged by smoke.
No one was injured.
Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
