Anyone who saw the BBC Panorama documentary about the terrible treatment of Yvonne Grant will be shocked at the terrible treatment she received.
While it is right that the care home apologised, I'm concerned that the procedures and checks were not already in place to stop this kind of abuse taking place.
The hurt and anger her family must feel about the undignified way she was treated, I can only begin to imagine.
I would also hope there is genuine action from this Government on addressing these failings in the care system.
Sir Richard Ottaway is to meet with care minister Norman Lamb - but what will the findings be and actions be that are taken as a result. It is important that our MP lets us know.
Is CCTV the best solution to this problem?. Should it not be in ensuring those staff who are employed are not allowed to abuse their positions in the first place.
