Show your support for those who are blind or visually impaired by donating to a collection on Friday.

Volunteers from Epsom charity SeeAbility, based in Newplan House, in East Street, will be collecting donations near the Holland and Barrett shop, in The Ashley Centre, on May 16, for the Greater London Fund for the Blind (GLFB), which supports and encourages the blind and visually impaired through its member charities.

David Scott Ralph, SeeAbility’s chief executive, said: "There will be collections taking place over a wide geographical area and it’s great to have Epsom represented.

"I have done a number of collections for the GLFB and it is always encouraging to see the public’s response."

David Beddows, manager of The Ashley Centre, added: "We are delighted to support this collection for such a good cause and hope to make it the most successful ever."

Epsom's new mayor, Councillor Robert Foote, and the mayoress, Rosemary Foote, will be joining the collection.
