A nuisance tenant who held loud, drunken parties, played loud music and was involved in verbal altercations has been evicted by Surrey Police.
Elmbridge Housing Trust obtained a court order on April 7 to gain possession of the property in Manordene Close, Thames Ditton, and the tenant was formally evicted on May 1.
Bailiffs changed the locks on the home and it will soon be re-let to those in need of social housing. Surrey Police and Paragon Community Housing kept incident logs of the tenant’s behaviour before the case was referred to the Community Incident Action Group.
PC Sharon Taylor, neighbourhood officer, said: “We take antisocial behaviour extremely seriously. In this case the victims were extremely brave and gave statements against their neighbour.
“Joint working with Elmbridge Council and Paragon Community Housing enabled us to successfully evict the offender from her property.”
