Lightning strikes giant oak tree
Lightning struck a giant oak tree in Ewell just before 11am.
Amy Seaton, who heard the lightning strike, said the tree was "split in half" at the junction of Elmwood Close and Elmwood Drive.
Ms Seaton Tweeted: "So lightning just hit a giant oak tree across the road from me. Woah. Near death experience - well not quite. Close call though."
She added: "I was washing my hair. It's dead opposite me. The huge oak tree has been split in half."
