It was the end of an era for a group of reunited school friends yesterday, when they met for Dinorben School's final annual dinner.
Around 80 former pupils enjoyed coffee and a buffet, while flicking through old photos and reminiscing about the past.
The event was in its 70th year, despite the school closing down in 1966.
Dinorben School was based in Woodcote Road, Wallington, and was a private day school for girls.

Jane Pullen, 66, was a pupil there between 1959- 1965.
She said: "I learned some amazing things but most importantly I made some friends for life.
"It was a strict school, they taught us how to sit properly and how to use a knife and fork.
"It’s sad we won’t be meeting in a formal capacity any more, but we will always see each other in other ways."
Badge of honour: Jane Pullen was made a prefect at the school
Organisers decided to make yesterday the final event, so it doesn’t peter out gradually as the veterans get older.
Robina Holmes, secretary of the Dinorben Old Girls Association, said: "It was a bit emotional, we have done so well to keep going for so long.
"But members are moving further away, and it's becoming more difficult for people to make the event.
"We wanted to end things properly, rather than just let it dwindle out.
"It was a lovely afternoon, the school has been a very important part of my life."
The annual meal took place on Tuesday May 13 at the Oaks Sports Centre in Woodmansterne Road, Carshalton.
It started at midday and finished around 4:30pm.
