Primary school children took a trip out to the Lee Valley VeloPark, home to the velodrome used in the London 2012 Olympics.
Pupils from Westbourne Primary School and Cheam Park Farm Junior School, took part in an education scheme launched at the centre.
The Lee Valley Regional Park Authority offers sessions in geography and design and technology.
The project caters for children at Key Stage 2 level as well as secondary school pupils.
The two Sutton-based primary schools visited the centre in Stratford on Tuesday May 7.
