A teenager who went missing from home for more than a week has been found safe and well in the last hour.

Robbie Duke, 13, disappeared from his home in Carshalton last Wednesday and is believed to have been sleeping rough or staying with acquaintances on the Shanklin estate near Belmont.

A large-scale search was launched and he was found by police officers in the town centre just before 1pm.

He has been taken into the care of the police.

Glad he has been found.

A 13 year old with "acquaintances". Obvious this wasn't about a teenager vanishing from the start. No search, no publicity. No appeal by parents.

Poor lad. Hoping he has a more secure future.

I think people need to know all the facts before passing judgement! And more foul the acquaintances parents for allowing it to happen!

I hope he is provided with counselling resources that put him out of his house to begin with.
