Four people have been arrested following a drug raid on a flat in Brighton Road.

Officers seized a large quantity of suspected narcotics, including a white block with more than 40 white wraps.

They also recovered 45 items of paraphernalia such as scales, snap bags, pipes, a razor and a pestle and mortar.

The four suspects were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

They were two men aged 22 and 42, and two women aged 20 and 45.

Police carried out the raid at 10pm on Sunday May 25.

When they arrived at the property items were thrown from a rear window, which were later recovered by police.

The raid was led by officers from Sutton Central’s Safer Neighbourhoods Team, who were tipped off by members of the local community.

The warrant was issued under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Safer Neighbourhoods Inspector Richard Hall said: “Drugs will not be tolerated and further operations are planned.”
