A charitable cyclist will tackle a gruelling bike ride for Help for Heroes.

Chris East, 50, from Sutton, is aiming to raise £5,000.

The Big Battlefield Bike Ride covers 335 miles from Brussels to the Cenotaph in London.

The event is poignant this year because it marks the centenary of the First World War.

It kicks off on June 2, and follows the line of the Western Front before arriving in Paris on June 6.

The 7-day slog will finally end on June 8.

Mr East has already raised £4,300. To donate click here
