A man who dropped his knife after smashing a living window has been jailed.
Keith Frew from Carshalton was tracked down by police who carried out forensic analysis on the weapon.
At 9:10pm on Saturday, May 10, Frew lobbed a stone through the window of a terraced house in Wendling Road, Sutton.
Officers later watched footage from a CCTV camera installed at the property.
The video showed Frew committing the offence before dropping the knife as he ran off.
On Saturday, June 21 he pleaded guilty to breaking a window and possessing an offensive weapon.
He was handed a six months jail term at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court.
Frew lived in Winchcombe Road.
