These items of Indian jewellery were stolen during a burglary in Sutton last month.

The owners of the jewellery have given police a full list of the items stolen along with several photos in the hope members of the public will be able to identify them if they see them for sale.

The items were taken in a break-in at a house in Poplar Road between 11am and 8.30pm on Monday, June 9. The intruders forced the side gate and French doors to get in.

Jewellery stolen included 22 and 24 carat Indian gold necklaces, bangles, earrings and rings that were all given to their owner as gifts.

Police have advised anyone who owns valuable jewellery to make sure it is not on display in their home, invest in a safe, to be discreet if wearing it in public, to get it valued and to take photographs of all the items.

If you know anything about the break-in or you have seen the items for sale, you can call police on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
