A firm that was forced out of its home due to redevelopment has found a new base.

Recruitment firm Employment Plus has opened new offices in St Nicholas Road after it was forced to move from its old home in Zurich House in Sutton High Street.

Zurich House is being torn down as part of a major redevelopment of the northern end of the town centre.

Employment Plus, which was formed by Sally Lelliott and Kim Kelly in 1991, was welcomed to its new home with an opening ceremony officiated by Ross Feeney, chief executive of Successful Sutton, the town centre's business improvement district.

He said: "Employment Plus is a real success story and a great ambassador for Sutton’s business community.

"We are delighted they have chosen to remain and invest in Sutton."

Zurich House is being demolished as part of the Old Gasworks development, which will bring a new supermarket, shops, restaurants, flats and landscaping to the northern end of the High Street.
