A man has been forced to pay out £145 following a Friday night drug sting.

Police made seven arrests in two hours in the operation outside Sutton train station.

Bartosz Szemonski, 18, appeared at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court on Saturday, June 27.

He was found guilty of possession of cannabis and issued with an £85 fine.

Szemonski, of no fixed abode, was also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £40 court fees.

A Croydon man arrested for being drunk and disorderly was charged and has been bailed.

Sutton police carried out the operation between 7pm and 9pm.

Rafal Szymanski, 26, will appear at Croydon Magistrates Court on Monday, July 14.

A 26 year-old man and 25-year old man were arrested for carrying cocaine.

The 25 year-old was also in possession of cannabis.

Both men were given a caution.

A 29 year-old man arrested for possession of cannabis was given a fixed penalty notice.

A 16-year-old man arrested for possession of cannabis was bailed pending further enquiries.

No further action was taken against a man arrested for obstructing a police search.
