Volunteers are being sought to help the police keep running a scheme that benefits hundreds of teenagers.

Sutton Volunteer Police Cadets runs regular meetings and activities throughout the year. More than 100 young people aged 13 to 18 are involved and the scheme is still growing.

Now the police are looking for more people to help run activities to ensure the initiative, which teaches young people a range of practical and social skills, can continue.

The cadet unit would particularly welcome volunteers with personal skills they could share like PE teachers, first aid experts and other police-related fields, although anyone with enthusiasm is encouraged to get involved.
