Shakespeare's "classic chaotic comedy" Twelfth Night is to be performed in two idyllic settings this month - Nonsuch and Cannizaro parks.
Shipwrecked on the shores of Illyria and believing her twin brother, Sebastian, to be drowned, young noblewoman Viola is determined to survive in this strange land.
Disguising herself as a man, she joins the household of Duke Orsino, who is pining for the reclusive Countess Olivia. "If music be the food of love, play on", says the Duke in the play's famous opening line.
When Viola is sent to woo Olivia on Orsino's behalf, a whirlwind of events unfold involving mistaken identity, cunning tricks and the folly of ambition.
Director Maggie Kruger says: "Nonsuch and Cannizaro provide beautiful backdrops to our Shakespeare productions and we can't wait to return with this year's fantastic show.
"Twelfth Night is a classic chaotic comedy - romance and cross-dressing alongside hilarious characters such as Sir Toby Belch and the yellow-stockinged Malvolio.
"What could be more British than putting your faith in the weather and heading out for a picnic and a bit of Shakespeare? Don't forget to bring a bottle!"
Mayhem Theatre Company's summer Shakespeare productions have proved very popular in previous years with a high demand for tickets and limited space available.
Performances sold out in advance last year and the company is urging people to book their tickets early to avoid disappointment.
Producer Elinor Morgan Jones says: "We are thrilled this year to offer a ticket and picnic hamper deal in conjunction with Deli Delights of Ewell Village.
"Audiences are more than welcome to bring their own picnics, but we know how difficult it can be to pick up something on the way to the park, especially for those commuting directly from work.
"There are a number of different hampers available to suit a variety of tastes, all of which can be pre-ordered and bought alongside tickets for the show direct from the advance box office and collected at the venue on the night."
Those attending will need to bring their own seating or rugs.
Performances will only be cancelled if absolutely necessary due to adverse weather conditions. In the event of a cancellation, if possible, tickets for an alternative performance will be offered but monetary refunds will not be provided.
