Really? This is the best a reporter can do?

No wonder people show such apathy to the local "rag".

Do a proper report, or don't bother.

Hope the kid is ok and all that, but this is a poor article.

I have to agree with the previous comment. I knew about this yesterday evening, & knew much more than this says. No, I was not there & I do not know anyone involved either. It obviously was too much trouble to get proper facts first. Of course if a story is as "empty" as this is, at least he cannot make any mistakes with the facts.

He was crossing just behind me. I heard a noise, turned around, and was shocked to my core. I thought it was a man but even more shattered to see it was a kid the same age as my daughter. Really shook me up. One thing I am glad to hear is he is alive and I hope his injuries are something that heal quickly. My heart goes out to him and his family and all the best for a speedy recovery.
