A man has been hit with a £200 fine for fraudulently using a disabled persons parking permit.
Alan Hogan, 44, used the blue badge without the permit holder being present.
He was charged with false representation under the Fraud Act 2006 at Croydon Magistrates Court on Tuesday, July 29.
Hogan, of California Close in Belmont, pleaded guilty to the offence citing his behaviour as stupid and lazy.
He was fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £350, along with a £20 victim surcharge- coming to a total of £570.
Hogan was also given credit for his early guilty plea, and for cooperating with the London borough of Sutton.
He was caught through a spot check carried out by the council’s permit team alongside Sutton police.
