Has snow hit Sutton in August?

The tail end of Hurricane Bertha is certainly producing some bizarre weather including snow today in Sutton.

Shortly before 1.45pm a few flurries of small flakes of snow were seen falling outside the windows of 20 storey Quadrant House in the centre of the town.

One eyewitness said. “I couldn’t believe my eyes. This is August, it doesn’t snow in England in August.

"But then the Sutton Guardian’s website’s weather panel has been saying there is a 0% chance of rain today, and I have just heard two claps of thunder and it is now pouring down."

The extremely peculiar nature of this event seriously begs the question "Was this in fact Snow, or some other element which might be the result of a far more serious set of non-weather related circumstances of which the public is not aware and which could potentially pose a threat to public health? The likelihood of such an event is sufficiently beyond the scope of reasonable acceptance, that it really should be seriously investigated.

Since reading this article I happened to come across several others about "Radioactive Snow" believed to be the result of the Nuclear accident at Fukashima Japan. Apparently there is something which looks like snow which is the result of such an accident. A radioactive plum forms which then spreads across the globe thus spreading radioactive elements. It isn't really snow at all. You might want to google Radioactive Snow and read what's available. This incident really shouldn't be taken lightly!
