Thousands of schoolchildren across Sutton receive their A-level results today.

Pupils across all of the borough’s secondary schools will be looking to beat last year’s overall pass rate of 99.6 per cent.

The impressive figure represented a 0.3 per cent rise on 2012, and was 1.5 per cent higher than the national average.

Carshalton Boys, St Philomenas, Wilson’s School, and the Greenshaw, Nonsuch, and Sutton High Schools, will all be looking to maintain their 100% pass rates.

Sutton’s 2013 results helped cement its place as one of the top boroughs for schools in the country.
