A faulty underground cable cut off electricity for over 1,000 people in Sutton this morning.
The UK Power Networks supply went out at 8.11am in the SM6 postcode area of Wallington.
It was restored to some customers at around 9.10am, but many people still have no power.
Of the 1019 affected, 893 people now have electricity again.
A UK Power Networks spokesperson said: "Due to a high voltage fault in the Sutton area
"1,019 customers experienced an interruption to their power supply.
"We understand how frustrating it can be to be without power and apologise for any inconvenience caused while we fix this fault."
Carshalton and Wallington MP Tom Brake also saw his electricity go out, he said: "Power was restored at 9.10am, was a slight inconvenience, but the impact on vulnerable customers and local businesses could be much more significant."
The electricity is supplied by EDF Energy and distriibuted by UK Power Networks.
