Firefighters tackled a flood at accommodation owned by a charity for the disabled.
Surrey Fire and Rescue said a fire engine was sent to Oaklawn Road, Leatherhead, at 12.04pm on Bank Holiday Monday, August 25.
A spokesman at Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) said water seeped through a ceiling at its Dorincourt Independent Living Services site after a tap was left on.
He said: "It was quickly established that this was as a result of a tap having been left running in a room above, which was shut off immediately, with the fire and rescue service called as a precautionary measure in accordance with procedure.
"Surrey Fire and Rescue Service turned off the electrical supply to the wing of the building affected. They checked that no wiring or electrical outlets had been damaged or affected and the supply was quickly turned back on.
"The water overflow resulted in damage to a small number of fibreboard tiles in a suspended ceiling and wall tiles in a kitchen area. This damage is already being repaired.
"QEF thanks Surrey Fire and Rescue Service for its prompt response. "
