Twitter followers can fire questions at the council leader Councillor Ruth Dombey next week, in a Q&A session about cuts to council services.

Sutton Council have to trim £40m off their annual budget by 2019, having already made cuts of £32m since 2010.

The council has launched the Sutton’s Future campaign, which encourages the public to engage with them on how the savings can be made.

Coun Dombey will be on Twitter from 6.30pm to 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 17.

Questions can be submitted in advance from Monday, September 15, using the hashtag #suttonsfuture

The council launched a dedicated website back in July, where residents can find out more about the cuts and share their views.
