An escaped convict has been caught after being hunted in connection with a string of burglaries in Surrey and London.
Surrey Police said officers found the 28-year-old in Clapham this morning and arrested him on suspicion of burglary and escape from lawful custody.
He was wanted in connection with burglaries in Epsom, Tadworth, Kingswood, Chipstead, Godalming and Hurtmore.
He is also suspected by other police forces of crimes in Kent, Sussex, Derbyshire and London.
He was found in Clapham this morning.
It is believed that the 28-year-old is Adam James Yaroo, who absconded from Sudbury open prison, in Derbyshire, on Monday, June 23.
He was reported by the Derby Telegraph to be the seventh person to flee the prison in a two month period.
The police issued an appeal to track down Yaroo last Wednesday, September 10.
Detective Inspector Richard Haycock said: "Officers from East Surrey have been working around the clock to establish the whereabouts of this man and this morning their hard work paid off when they were able to locate him in the Clapham area of London."
