Police investigating the brutal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in broad daylight, have charged a teenager with GBH.

The 15-year-old has been accused of grievous bodily harm with intent, after a boy was left fighting for his life next to a busy road in the Rosehill area.

The teenager collapsed on the pavement opposite the KFC at the Rose Hill roundabout shortly after 2.55pm on Friday, October 24.

He is believed to have walked about 250 yards before hitting the ground, after getting off the 151 bus in Angel Hill.

He was taken to hospital with what police reported to be life-changing or life-threatening injuries.

The boy remains at St Helier Hospital, where he is said to be in a stable condition.

The 15-year-old who has now been charged with the attack was arrested on Saturday afternoon.

He cannot be named for legal reasons, and will appear at Croydon Youth Court on Tuesday November 11.

Shortly after the attack a police spokesperson said: "The medical air ambulance was called but the victim was taken to hospital by land ambulance.

"The victim is believed to have been stabbed.

"His injuries are described as life threatening. He is being treated in the resuscitation unit.

"The bus is being examined by forensic officers.

"Officers are at the crime scene which stretches several hundred yards along Angel Hill towards to Rose hill roundabout."
