The Central Band of the Royal British Legion will be performing its popular Remembrance Day concert at Epsom Playhouse on Sunday.

The performance will feature plenty of favourites so there will be something for everyone to enjoy including a short remembrance sequence with the Last Post, Epitaph and Reveille.

The Central Band is now in its 69th year and considers Epsom its home town as it was formed in the Epsom British Legion Club directly after World War Two.

Captain David Cole MVO RM will lead the band with his usual humour and enthusiasm.

He will be fresh from his role as co-producer of the Legion’s annual Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall the night before, with members of the band who will also have performed at the festival.

In July, the band was seen entertaining the crowds at the Wimbledon championships, before taking to the high seas on board the Fred Olsen cruise liner Balmoral where they were on-board entertainment for a tour of the Baltic.

The concert will be performed at Epsom Playhouse on Sunday, November 9, at 3pm. Tickets cost £11. Call the box office on 01372 742555 or visit www.epsomplayhouse.co.uk.
