A terraced house went up in flames yesterday evening, after a garage caught alight and spread to the main building.
There were no injuries in the blaze, which caused significant damage to the property in Hollymead, off Camden Road, in Carshalton.
The London Fire Brigade were called out at 5.39pm to reports a garage had caught on fire.
Wallington firefighters arrived to find the blaze had spread to the house.
The owners of the house and those in neighbouring properties were evacuated, with the fire being put out by 7.02pm.
The fire is being treated as non-suspicious.
