An investigation has been launched after a 15 year old girl was raped in a park last night.
The attacker, who the victim did not know, is described by the Metropolitan Police as black, in his late 20s or early 30s, of broad build and about 5ft 10inches tall.
He was described as wearing a black hooded jacket and shorts.
Detectives from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse command have been called in following the incident at Grove Park, Carshalton.
Police were initially called just after 8.30pm and the crime scene has been cordoned off.
The victim has been taken to a haven.
