Get hunting through your boxes of clutter and important memorabilia for items you have always wanted to find out more about.

Eric Knowles, best known for sharing his expertise and delighting people by telling them about items history and value on The Antiques Roadshow, is on the road himself sharing tips and stories about past events.

Coming to Sutton at the start of December, as part of his What’s it Worth? tour Knowles imparts his knowledge about an industry he has worked his way through and around for over 30 years.

So if you have a possible antique or piece of social history get it down from the top shelf of the cupboard and get it dusted off and your item might be one of the 25 selected to be discussed in greater depth at the end of the show.

People that attend his show will also be in with the chance to ask Knowles to take a look at their beloved treasures, family heirlooms and items that have been left to gather dust in the attic.

They can see if he can shed any light on where they were made, how old they are, what its purpose might once have been and if it should be kept under lock and key, or if it can just be sent to charity and sold for 50p.

You never know that hideous vase that hasn’t seen the light of day since the 1960s might actually be able to fill your world with joy just in time for some last minute Christmas shopping.

Registration if you want to take items along to be in the running of being considered at the end of the show starts at 1.30pm.
