A teenager has returned home with her all-conquering team as world tap-dancing champions.

Evie Tolley, 13, formed part of the Tap Attack England Team competing at The 2014 International Dance Organisation World Tap Championships last week, and led the way, picking up the gold medal in the Junior Formation category.

Evie, who lives in Sutton and goes to Glenthorne High School, said: "It feels amazing; it hasn’t really sunk in yet.  All our hard work definitely paid off."

Her team, which includes both juniors and adults, picked up four world titles at the event in Germany.

Her coach Jo Scanlan said "I’m so unbelievably proud of the Tap Attack England Team, I have spent a fantastic week with some amazing dancers whose determination and work ethic is something to be admired.

"To go back to the World Championships after the success we had in 2013 was always going to be a challenge but I am proud to say England have returned as World Champions again."
