Officers declared the bag safe at 1.40pm
British Transport Police officers were down at Sutton station this afternoon, after it was feared a discarded bag might be a bomb.
They were called out at 1.20pm, and the bag was declared safe 20 minutes later.
Officers didn’t need to close any part of the station while they dealt with the suspicious item.
