Fly-tippers transformed a car park into what looked like a landfill site, when they dumped a load of bags and boxes outside a Tesco supermarket.
Sutton Council’s street cleaning waste team spent two days removing the rubbish from the site in Oldfields Road, Sutton.
The mess was found there on Monday, December 29, and the council say they cleaned the site the day before.
The Tesco site is also a recycling drop-off point, and the council has told people not to leave rubbish there if they see it is already spilling over.
Those caught fly-tipping can be fined up to £50,000 or face 12 months in prison.
