Epsom and Ewell has paid tribute to the journalists and police officers killed at the Charlie Hebdo magazine in Paris yesterday.
The borough’s town hall, which is were Epsom and Ewell police are located, observed a two-minute silence in tribute to the 12 people killed at the office of the satirical magazine.
Epsom councillor Eber Kington also said on Twitter that the flag at the town hall will be flown at half-mast.
He said: "With police located in Epsom town hall the flag will be flown at half-mast out of respect to their police colleagues who died in Paris yesterday."
Surrey Police posted a photo of the tributes which took place by its police officers across the county using the hashtag #PoliceTributeToParis
