A man walked away with an unknown quantity of cash after robbing a bookmakers this afternoon.
The incident happened at the William Hill bookmakers in Waterloo Road, Epsom, at 1.30pm today.
A man went into the shop, threatened a cashier and demanded money.
No weapons were seen and he left the building with the cash.
The man is slightly tanned, around 5ft 4in, with short black hair.
He was wearing tan chino trousers and a black jacket with a fur hood.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they would like to speak to in connection with the robbery.
DS Glenn Parker, who is leading the investigation, said: "This was a very frightening incident for the victim who was simply doing her job.
"We are determined to find whoever is responsible for this robbery and bring him to justice which is why we are appealing for the public’s help.
"The suspect was wearing very distinctive clothing and we are hoping someone will have seen him either prior to or after the offence."
