Medical supplies and equipment were stolen from paramedics while they treated a patient.
An orange bag was taken from the pavement while they assisted someone in Ross Road, Wallington.
The theft of the specialist electronic equipment and other medical supplies took place at 12.27pm on Sunday, February 15.
Inspector Ian Hicks, from Sutton police, said: "The bag contained electronic medical equipment which would be of no use outside the medical profession and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the bag being taken, knows who is responsible for taking the bag or has been offered medical equipment for sale to contact us.
"The information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence."
Police said that the theft did not hinder the treatment of the patient.
Anyone with information can call Sutton police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
