Children came into contact with some prickly customers at the Sutton Ecology Centre.
More than 100 youngsters attended the hedgehog open day, where the spikey critters were provided by the Riverside Animal Centre in Beddington Park.
The event was organised by Sutton Council’s biodiversity team, with children given the chance to make masks and clay hedgehogs.
It took place at the centre in Festival Walk, Carshalton, on Tuesday, February 17.
