Yes, it is good to mention “Who is Mohammad?” (advert page 1, January 28) but the Croydon Guardian could do small bits to include all faiths; after all, we are such a diverse multi-cultural society in the UK, and although one meets people of one faith or another, how much do we know of their faiths, or even they themselves know?

It is taken for granted that this being a Christian country, there is no need to mention about Christians; yet when Christmas or Easter come each year, it becomes all a commercial focal point.

It would help so much to say a bit about every faith, every now and again.

How much do we know about Jews? Or Hindus? Sikhs? Or Buddhists? And the various demonations that occur in each of these communities – it would be good to know who and what they are and what they mean.

Even something about Jehovah’s Witnesses or atheists – even converts to other faiths.

It does not have to be a long or indepth article, but just enough to give some insight and understanding.

I think such articles would help a lot and aid the society in which we now live.

The greater the understanding for us with our neighbours, the better we would be with each other, instead of just laws or rules passed for us to have “equality” or things forced on us, when it is far better to have some knowledge and understanding of all the different faiths, along with their cultures - wouldn't you agree??
