Two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the chest in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to Mulgrave Road at the junction with Brighton Road, Sutton, at 3.20am after a 22-year-old man was found with stab wounds.
He was treated at the scene for the wound to his chest before being taken to a south London hospital.
His injuries are serious but not believed to be life threatening.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and were taken to separate police stations for questioning.
Enquiries are ongoing.
Mulgrave Road closed near to High Street / Brighton Road near the train station but we hope to open the road shortly.
