I was sitting reading a copy of the Croydon Guardian when I was jolted out of my chair.
In two days the exhibition Sunshine in Suburbia at the Clock Tower was to close. I could not believe it, to coin a phrase.
It is quite amazing how time flies when you are older. Having been to the opening of the exhibition, I was going to be at the closing. On the opening night I met a few young people who wanted to know about the old days and I was able to expand a little.
I hope I did not bore them too much. I did attend about three or four times and got something new every time. I was quite surprised at how many people were there on the last day, I was just on cloud nine as I managed to obtain a poster which I shall frame.
Also, I got quite a kick out of helping in some small way, which will last a long time.
