Ben Watson plans to make amends for a frustrating campaign by making a big impact in the Eagles' final 10 games of the season.

Injuries and loss of form mean the England U21 international has not made more than four consecutive Palace starts since Peter Taylor became boss.

Now fit-again Watson is aiming to finish the season on a high by showing the form that saw him once regarded as one of the brightest prospects in English football.

"It is down to me now," said Watson. "If I can play this Saturday and put in a good performance, I will take each game one by one.

"I have only started 10 games this season and want to show in the next 10 what I can do."

Winning back his England U21 place for this summer's European Championships is also a target.

Watson added: "If I play well in these last 10 games, I am in with a shout. The main thing is to play thosematches and, if I do, anything else will be a bonus."
