I would like to take issue with the comments made by Ray Horry, March 1, suggesting that Nonsuch Mansion and 300 acres of Parkland are hardly used.
As the parents of a young toddler, my wife and I frequent and enjoy the park and its facilities regularly. I can only suggest that his views are blinkered.
Like any other outside venue, user traffic will be dependent on weather conditions and seasonal fluctuation.
However, anyone who frequents the park, will know that the pleasure and joy derived from the open spaces, well manicured gardens and refreshment facilities at the mansion is shared by thousands of others.
If it's a golf club he wants, then there are plenty out there to choose from without impingeing on a local natural treasure.
