A derelict building was torched in a suspected arson at the weekend.
Surrey Police were called to a fire at Hollywood Lodge at 10.50am on Saturday, March 28.
They are treating the blaze as suspicious.
Detective Constable Hannah Millyard, investigating officer, said: "The fire caused considerable damage to the building, and was fortunately brought under control by the fire and rescue service without anybody being injured.
"We are keen to establish the full circumstances around this incident and I would encourage anyone who has any information, or saw anything suspicious to get in touch with us as soon as possible."
An Epsom firewoman said yesterday that the cause of the fire was not known.
She added: "There was a lot of debris in there which was on fire."
The mansion was originally called Horton Lodge and stood in landscaped grounds, with a walled garden, stables, ornamental ponds and an icehouse.
