A girl who vanished on her way to school a fortnight ago may be in Battersea, police have said.

Sindy-Ann Regis, 15, from Tulse Hill, was last seen at 8.30am on March 8 as she left home to go to Norwood Girls School.

Police said she failed to make it to school and has not been seen or heard from since.

It is believed that Sindy-Ann may have a friend in the Battersea area and police are appealing for anyone who has seen her or been in contact with her to come forward.

Sindy-Ann has never gone missing before and her family and police are extremely worried about her.

Sindy-Ann is a black female of medium build, about 5ft 6in and was last seen wearing a black cardigan and black jeans. She was not wearing school uniform.

Anyone with information should phone Lambeth missing persons unit on 020 8721 3557 or 020 8649 1212 and ask for Vauxhall control room.
